What is coworking?

What exactly is coworking and how can it help me?

Coworking has become mainstream thanks to the success of large flexible workspace providers such as WeWork, The Office Group, Fora, Regus, Spaces and many more.

Coworking can be defined as "the use of an office or other working environment by people who are self-employed or working for different employers, typically so as to share equipment, ideas, and knowledge."

In essence, coworking is the art of using a flexible workspace to book a hot desk or fixed desk for a short period of time to complete work tasks away from a companies HQ or an employee's home.

These bookings usually come in the form of day bookings or half-day bookings, when workspace providers sell day passes to those who wish to access their space to complete their work. Some workspace providers may also accept hourly bookings of a workspace if they want to remain ultra-flexible.
